Intake & inspection.

Equipment shows up at the Clearwater shop. Every unit gets logged by serial, a visual once-over, and a power-on test. If it doesn’t post, we note what’s wrong before anything else happens.

Data sanitization.

IN-HOUSE WIPENIST SP 800-88 REV. 2

Every drive is wiped with our in-house wipe process to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and gets a certificate. Media that can’t be wiped is physically destroyed in-house, never sent out.

Repair & upgrade.

This is where the bench earns its name. Batteries, fans, hinges, keys, missing screws: whatever the machine needs to be worth owning again. What can’t be saved is demanufactured and recycled in-house.

Tested before it’s listed. Every machine boots before it ships. If it doesn’t pass, it doesn’t go on the shelf, and it goes back up the bench.

Photographed as it is and described accurately, then packed and shipped securely with tracking, and insurance when required, or held for pickup in Clearwater. Computers, monitors, and networking gear carry a 1-year warranty.

Grading rubric

A vs. B vs. C, explained like a normal human.

Grades describe appearance, not performance. Same testing at every grade; sanitization applies to equipment with storage. Compare grades of the same configuration — not every model has the same specification.
