Why reuse first

Refurb is the boring kind of sustainable.

We don’t sell carbon offsets or publish ESG reports. Refurbishing is what we do every day, so a working laptop that comes in for recycling usually leaves as a tested, warrantied machine for someone else. That keeps good hardware in service and out of the landfill. What can’t be reused is demanufactured and recycled right here in the shop.

Sometimes doing the right thing is just doing the obvious thing.

A worn laptop is lifted out of an e-waste recycling bin, cleaned and tested on the bench, and comes out like new with a tag and sparkles.

For schools & businesses

A free bin for your building.

We ship a pallet-size collection crate to your school, university or office along the East Coast. Staff, students and visitors drop off old electronics, and when it’s full we send a truck. The crate, the drop-offs and the pickup are all free.

A flat-packed crate arrives on a pallet, stands filled with old electronics by school lockers, and rides away in a truck with a pallet jack parked outside.
Compliance posture

Honest about what we hold.

We don’t hold every certification a large ITAD vendor does, and we’d rather tell you that on this page than during an audit. Here is what we follow as documented procedure.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about e-waste recycling.

What does e-waste recycling cost?

Most electronics are free to recycle, CRT monitors included. TVs carry a small fee. Business pickups follow our standard pickup terms, so ask for a quote. Fees are paid at drop-off or pickup, by cash, card, or ACH.

Can I drop off electronics from home?

Yes. Households and businesses can both drop off at the Clearwater shop, by appointment. Call or email first so someone is there to take it in.

What happens to the data on my devices?

Every drive is wiped with our in-house wipe process to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2, or physically destroyed at the shop, before anything leaves the building. There’s no charge for it.

Does everything get shredded?

No. Working hardware is refurbished and resold first. What can’t be reused is demanufactured and recycled in-house.

Do I get a certificate of recycling?

Businesses get a certificate of recycling, plus a data destruction certificate on request. Household drop-offs don’t come with paperwork.

Are you R2v3 process-aligned?

Yes — we follow R2v3 procedures, and demanufactured commodities go to R2v3-certified downstream vendors.

Can I ship e-waste to you?

Yes. Contact us first and we’ll tell you how to pack it and where to send it.
