Every asset is logged by serial at the Clearwater shop before any work begins.

Refurbishment & testing

What can be resold is repaired and tested. Every machine boots before it ships.

Resale

Refurbished equipment is resold through the shop and our eBay store: 9,000+ items sold at 99% positive feedback.

In-house recycling

What can’t be resold is demanufactured and recycled in-house. We’re process-aligned with R2v3.

Compliance posture

Honest about what we hold.

We don’t hold every certification a large ITAD vendor does, and we’d rather tell you that on this page than during an audit. Here is what we follow as documented procedure.

Process · every drive

NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2

In-house wipes with a certificate of sanitization per drive.

Process-aligned

R2v3

Procedures followed; demanufactured commodities go to R2v3-certified downstream vendors.

Process

In-house destruction

Media that can’t be wiped is physically destroyed at the shop.

Process

In-house recycling

What can’t be reused is demanufactured and recycled at the shop.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about ITAD.

What equipment do you take?

Laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, and networking gear are the core of what we handle. Tell us what else you have and we’ll say plainly whether we can take it.

What does an ITAD company do?

An IT asset disposition (ITAD) company retires your computers, servers and networking gear: pickup, serial-level intake, data sanitization with a certificate per drive, then refurbishment and resale of what still has value and in-house demanufacturing and recycling of the rest.

Do you pay for used IT equipment?

Yes, when it has resale value. Choose a direct buyout, a revenue share where we sell your equipment and share the proceeds, or fee-for-service where you keep the proceeds. Every engagement is quoted after scoping.

Is ITAD the same as e-waste recycling?

No. ITAD keeps a serialized chain of custody, certifies every drive, and resells what still works, so retired equipment comes back as value instead of a disposal fee. E-Waste Recycling is the simpler option for electronics you just want gone: drives are still wiped or destroyed, and what can’t be reused is demanufactured and recycled in-house.

How can we verify the data was erased?

Every drive gets a certificate of sanitization tied to its serial, stating the method (an in-house wipe to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2, or in-house physical destruction) and the result. Documentation is prepared per serial at the shop.

Where do you work?

ITAD pickup and on-site service cover the East Coast: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. If your state isn’t on the list, contact us for a quote and we’ll see if we can handle your needs. The shop is in Clearwater, FL, and retail visits are by appointment.

How is pricing worked out?

Every engagement is quoted. Send what you have and what you need, and we’ll itemize it. There’s no rate card to decode.

What happens to the data?

Every drive is wiped with our in-house wipe process to NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 2 and gets a certificate. Media that can’t be wiped is physically destroyed in-house. There’s no mobile shredding.

Are you R2v3 process-aligned?

Yes — we follow R2v3 procedures, and demanufactured commodities go to R2v3-certified downstream vendors.

How do businesses pay?

All modern forms of payment are accepted, including cash, card, and ACH. Service work takes a 50% deposit when booked, with the balance due on completion. Buyouts are paid within 15 days of the audit report, and revenue-share payouts settle monthly.

Got equipment to retire?

Send a rough list, even a spreadsheet of models and quantities, and we’ll put a quote together. No hard sell, no commitments.
